Our story

Yes, we're real.

A husband and wife in Fishers, Indiana, a blended family of six kids, and a Bible study we built for ourselves before we ever thought of sharing it.

We're Mike and Jenny. We're the kind of people who just want to sit around a fire pit at the end of the day with friends.

We didn't build Rooted from a strategy deck. We built it out of our own lives. Between us we've been through divorce and remarriage, blended a family of six kids, faced health scares and financial holes, lost jobs and built companies from nothing. We grew up in the faith, walked away from it, and found our way back.

Through all of it we kept hitting the same wall. We could open the Bible, but opening it wasn't the same as knowing how to walk through it in the middle of a hard week. Mike built Rooted for the two of us first, to help us find our footing as a blended family. It helped. Friends started asking for it. So now we're sharing it.

Why we use AI, and where it stops

AI is a hammer. You can tear things down with it, or you can build a home. We're building a home.

We wrestled with this before we ever let AI near our faith. Here's where we landed.

Scripture is the source

Rooted never writes Scripture, replaces it, or speaks for God. Every study is built from the Bible alone, in the NIV.

A guide, not a replacement

It isn't a pastor or a counselor, and it isn't trying to be anyone in your life. It's there in the moments others can't be.

It points you home

Back to God, and back to your people. When something serious comes up, it points you to real people who can help.

Rooted pays for itself, so the only people we answer to are the people using it. And it funds what comes next: Blessings from Hard Beginnings, our work for people who started where we did and are still finding their way home.
