How it works
What is Rooted?
A voice Bible study app. You tell your guide how your week is going, out loud or by typing, and it walks you through Scripture built around what you shared.
Is the guide a real person?
No. Your guide is AI, built to listen, remember where you are, and walk you through Scripture. Your guide isn't a pastor or counselor, and when something serious comes up, your guide points you to real people.
Do I have to talk out loud?
No. Talking is the heart of it, but you can type anytime, and you can read your study instead of listening.
Where do the studies come from?
From the Bible, in the NIV. Rooted doesn't follow a particular teacher or author. Your guide picks passages that meet the week you described and walks you through them.
Is this replacing church or my pastor?
No. Rooted is a study partner. It's built to get you back into the Word and back toward the people in your life, never to stand in for either.
Cost
What does it cost?
Your first study is free, with no payment info, on iPhone, Android or the web. After that you get 7 days free, then it's $5.99 a week. One plan, no tiers.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. If you subscribed on the web, deleting your account cancels it.
Why does it cost anything?
No investors and no ads, on purpose. Rooted pays for itself, so the only people we answer to are the people using it. More in our story.
Privacy and your account
Who can see what I say?
Your conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest, used only to build your studies and guide your conversations, and never sold or shared with advertisers. We don't read them.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: open the menu, choose My Profile, then Delete account. It's deleted right away. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that in your store settings too.
What phones does it work on?
iPhone and Android, and you can also start in your web browser.
